D. A. Carson is research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, where he has served since 1978. He has also served a pastor and has ministered in Canada and the United Kingdom. Dr. Carson is a graduate of McGill University, has an M. Div. from Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto, and a Ph. D. in New Testament from the University of Cambridge. He is the author or co-author of over 50 books and is a council member of Together for the Gospel and the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals. Dr. Carson and his wife, Joy, have two children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, and woodworking.

Mark Dever serves as the senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, DC. A Duke graduate, Dr. Dever holds an M. Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Th. M. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph. D. in Ecclesiastical History from Cambridge University. He is the president of 9Marks Ministries and has taught at a number of seminaries. Dr. Dever has authored several books and articles, including his recent works What is a Healthy Church? and The Gospel and Personal Evangelism. He and his wife, Connie, live and minister on Capitol Hill. They have two adult children.

Daniel Akin is the president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Prior to taking the presidency of Southeastern, he was a Vice President and Dean of the School of Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Akin is a graduate of Criswell College, has an M. Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph. D. from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has authored several books including Ten Who Changed the World, God on Sex, 1, 2, 3 John (New American Commentary), and Song of Solomon (Holman Bible Commentary), as well as editing a major work on the church entitled A Theology for the Church. Dr. Akin and his wife, Charlotte, have four adult sons.

Ed Moore is the senior pastor of North Shore Baptist Church in Bayside, New York, where he has served since 1992. Pastor Moore and North Shore Baptist have a heart for reaching New York City for Christ and have planted three other churches there. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and has an M. Div. from Columbia International University. Ed and his wife, Anna, have four children.

Matthew Smith is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who writes new music for centuries-old hymn texts. He is a founding member of Indelible Grace, whose work has drawn acclaim across denominational lines and is used in churches around the world. Born out of a college ministry, the reimagined hymns have found wide acceptance both among college students and the church at large, joining people who desire to honor tradition with those who want a modern musical approach. His latest album, Watch The Rising Day, explores the tension of living in a broken world while awaiting Christ’s return and the restoration of all things.

Jonathan Olsen is the pastor of Grace and Peace Community Church, a new church in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to planting the church in 2009, Jonathan served on the pastoral staff at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia as the Minister for City Outreach. He is a graduate of Columbia International University and has an M. Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary. Jonathan and his wife, Rachel, live and minister in South Philadelphia with their five children.

Gary George is the pastor of Sovereign Grace Chapel in Southbridge, Massachusetts. After growing up in the Eastern Orthodox church and graduating from a Jesuit college, he was saved by God’s grace and called into pastoral ministry. He is a graduate of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Gary has a heart for evangelism and can frequently be found sharing his faith in his hometown of Worchester, Massachusetts. He and his wife Michelle have been married for 35 years and have five children.
